A blank canvas takes on a sophisticated, expansive vibe in this loft, where warmth and comfort reside in velvet fabrics and a cushioned leather ottoman.  Large spaces look larger with a carpet with a magnified print, which is echoed by the large potted palm.
The design of this historic row house marries traditional and modern elements. The L-shaped sectional creates a cosy living area in which the fireplace and piano are focal points.  Carefully chosen accessories fill the built-in shelves, and a large floor mirror gives this narrow home the illusion of greater depth.
This complete bathroom makeover features a modern floating vanity and heated travertine floors. Most special in this design is the over-sized shower with custom accent tile that highlights a built-in niche for products. The bench creates visual interest and doubles as smart storage for paper products and linens.
This den feels spacious because of the choice of furnishings that fit well.  The room serves double duty as a bedroom because the loveseat folds down to become a day bed and the ottoman stores blankets.  Collages of family photos and a storage bench filled with favorite books add a personal touch.
Another complete renovation, this kitchen is in a lower-level condo.  The space is brightened by white cabinets and floors as well as under-cabinet lighting.  The moss green glass subway tiles play off subtle green tones in the Isis Dream granite counters.  The kitchen is completed by a wine-bar area with ample storage, a wine fridge and cubby and a floating shelf for glasses.  The menus and the chalk board for a shopping list or tonight's menu bring a touch of Italian whimsy.
Powder rooms like this one allow for bold color choices.  A deep pink on the walls makes the art in this room pop, and is complimented by brown tones.  The room was updated easily with new sink and toilet fixtures.
This dining area is another reflection of how contemporary can meet traditional beautifully.  Taupes, browns and creams create a neutral palette to highlight red accents and living elements like plants and orchids.  The dining room pendant chandelier dims, and is another eye-catcher.
